As a part of its annual #GetUgly4Good social media campaign, Praxis donated $4,500 to WNC Strong: Rebuilding Together and Mountain Bizworks, two organizations helping rebuild small businesses in Asheville, NC, devastated by Hurricane Helene.
To respond to the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Mountain Bizworks and WNC Strong are raising $50 million dollars to provide direct grants to small businesses in the Asheville, NC region. These grants will provide critical support to those hit hardest by this year’s flooding and storm damage. You can learn more about their initiative—and watch a short video about the campaign—on their site.
“During this holy season of giving, Praxis is pleased to be able to give back to the communities that need our help the most,” said Mark Regier, VP of Stewardship Investing. “And it is especially fun for us to annually spread some Christmas cheer by encouraging folks to dust off their ugly Christmas sweaters and celebrate for a good cause.”
The Praxis GetUgly4Good campaign invited advisor offices—and others—from across the country to participate through posts on LinkedIn. For every 100 likes on one of the #GetUgly4Good posts on LinkedIn, Praxis pledged to donate $1,000 (up to $5,000 total) to the selected charities. This year, based on responses received by the end of the day on December 13, Praxis donated $4,500 to this critically important cause.
